The Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE) is a two-day live experience and celebration of new ideas, connections and opportunities for the waste and recycling community. AWRE 2017 cemented itself as the industry's most prized event by highlighting the very latest product innovations and expert learnings alongside arguably the best networking opportunities within the Southern Hemisphere.
AWRE 2017 witnessed an impressive showcase of waste and recycling products and solutions from some of the industry’s most respected brands which offered visitors an exciting discovery of the latest innovations to reduce, reuse, recycle and safely dispose of their waste.
2017 Speaker Series
The 2017 Speaker Series hosted ten insightful seminar sessions from industry experts offering discussion on topics such as climate change, energy storage, recycling organic materials and e-Waste including the sell-out session ‘The future of packaging is circular’ by Dr John Williams.
With continuing focus on the safe disposal of food and electronic waste, the e-Waste and Organics dedicated zones showcased the organisations including the Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) who are leading the way in these unique sectors.
Visitors to AWRE 2017 were given a colourful welcome by a ‘plastic coral’ art piece by curator and artist Maria Gallo. The wall sculpture offered a vibrant representation of the Great Barrier Reef composed of plastic bottle caps and plastic bottles and was a fitting showcase of recyclable art.
