What is the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo?
As the premier business event for the waste, recycling and resource recovery sector, The Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE) is where the best come together to join forces for a world of solutions towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
AWRE offers professionals in the waste and recycling industry (and end users responsible for sourcing the latest products, services and technologies to manage waste, recycling and sustainability) an opportunity to showcase and discover the latest innovations and solutions. Professionals are offered the chance to also network and connect with like-minded experts and key waste and recycling decision makers from industry and government, plus attend high quality, practical waste and recycling management seminars on key topics.
The event offers a free-to-attend exhibition, full-day summit and networking program.

Please see our event safety guidelines here.
What are the entry requirements?
We follow advice from the State Government and operate under our venue protocols for our attendance guidelines. For the most current information regarding vaccination status and entry to the venue, please read the ICC EventSafe Operating Guide here.
Should the Government or venue guidelines change around health advice and vaccination status, we will continue to operate and follow the recommended guidelines. We advise visitors to check the guidelines prior to attending.
We also recommend that visitors regularly check NSW Health and Australian Department of Health websites for the most up to date public health advice.
Irrespective of the current situation and for the foreseeable future, we will continue our duty of care to all our attendees and customers and will continue to implement the additional health and safety and cleaning measures at all of our events.

However, if you bring children along, please ensure they are supervised by an adult throughout the duration of the show.
Tertiary students with valid student ID will be admitted. Due to OH&S, prams, strollers and trolleys (ie shopping trolleys) are strictly not permitted at the event. Under no circumstances are any children permitted into the exhibition halls during the setting up and disassembling of the show.
Can international visitors attend AWRE?
All international visitors need to apply for a business visa. The passport which you hold will determine whether you can apply online, or if you need to lodge a paper-based application. Before lodging any application please take note of any travel restrictions that may apply. Click here for more information.
Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Embassy in your country or in some cases can be made online. For more information visit the Department of Immigration website.
Please note that the organisers DO NOT provide visa invitation letters to international visitors.
What do I do if someone tries to sell me the AWRE databases and visitor lists?
Please be aware that AWRE exhibitors have recently been a target of groups trying to take advantage of the AWRE name and your affiliation with the event.
Some of our exhibitors have received phone calls and e-mails from individuals offering attendee lists and directories from a number of hoax third party companies. Please do not attempt to buy AWRE attendee lists.
AWRE and its official partners/or vendors do not sell, rent or distribute attendee lists in any way, nor do we send e-mails via Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail accounts. All official communication comes from a Diversified Communications Australia email account (@divcom.net.au). Any communication suggesting otherwise is not affiliated with AWRE. We recommend you do not click on any links from e-mails offering these services or from any that look suspicious.
If you have received an email offering a AWRE attendee list, please let us know so that we can take further action against this happening again.
