Australasian Fleet Management Association’s executive director Mace Hartley is proud to be presenting at the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo from August 23-24 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Fleet vehicles play a huge role in the landfill waste, recycling and green waste management system. Waste collection trucks are an enormous critical component of every municipal council in Australasia and there’s a fleet manager in charge of keeping those workhorses pulling their weight.
Over 540 councils operate across Australia, and 67 territorial authorities in New Zealand, the vast majority with a waste disposal fleet and a manager – sometimes a team – whose responsibility is enormous. From workplace health and safety, to sustainability and environmental responsibilities, and the weight of council operations on their shoulders, AFMA exists to inform, empower and advocate for fleet managers, a non-profit giving its members resources to use in the pursuit of industry best practice.
We look forward to the opportunity to share knowledge and collaborate with the waste and recycling sector to help both it and fleets do more with less.
