Celebrating 10 years of AWRE

This year AWRE is celebrating its 10th anniversary and we would like to share with you some of the exhibitors that have been on the journey with us to find solutions to build a more stable, sustainable and profitable economy.

Source Separation Systems are an Australian owned family business, established in 2007, committed to providing an extensive range of innovative recycling systems and liners, which are proven to connect you, your team and community to a more sustainable world through waste diversion and recycling.

We caught up with Source Separation Systems in their lead up to AWRE 2019 to find out what has kept them coming back for the past eight years.

Q. As one of our longest running exhibitors, why do you see the value in coming back each year to AWRE?

A. Like many Australian family businesses our business has been built on relationships with companies who trust us to work with them over the long term, as they transition their business practices to more sustainable options. AWRE gives us a chance to ‘check in’ with lot of our customers at the same time and leverage the strength of our industry wide relationships to connect people. Successful waste diversion is often about looking at waste as a resource, and so connecting the right people who share opposing waste and resource needs can be transformational for their sustainability goals.

Q. Why do you see the importance of exhibiting at AWRE?

A. We are passionate about talking directly to clients, understanding their sustainability goals and challenges, and then designing and manufacturing our world class recycling products and services around those goals. Customer driven product design is a key reason our products are so innovative and successful. AWRE gives us an opportunity to talk directly to many of our existing clients about the changing recycling industry, and also meet new clients.

Q. Why is it important for the industry to come together in this way?

A. Each time we bring a new team member to events such as AWRE, they are always struck by both the passion evident from those within our industry, and the extent of innovation. Given the environmental risks we currently face across the globe and the subsequent increased public awareness and motivation for change, it’s imperative that we come together as an industry to share ideas and debate options.  There are so many fabulous stories of innovation within the Australian industry at present, which means we can drive real change.
