The AWRE Online Event is just over a month away, and we have a jam-packed two day program for the waste and recycling industry, filled with educational content and exclusive product launches and showcases.
Registration for the online event is now open, as we give the industry an online platform to re-connect, engage, and discover the latest solutions in waste and recycling, no matter where you may be in the world.
Over the two days, the online audience will gain access to hours of content through our education program, with sessions on the latest topics featuring industry professionals, experts and Government. Featured speakers include NSW Energy and Environment Minister, the Hon Matt Kean MP, who will be opening the event with an overview of the 20 year Government strategy. Minister for the Environment the Hon Sussan Ley MP will also be speaking at the event, as she provides an update on a number of Government recycling initiatives.
Other sessions to look forward to include an overview of the circular economy in action, with featured speakers Lisa McLean of NSW Circular, Natasha Ryko of Mirvac and Anne Thompson of Sustainable Footwear. You’ll also be able to hear from Cr Linda Scott, President of Local Government NSW, as she discusses the Covid effect on the waste industry in 2020.
Tracy Mackey of NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) will also be sitting down with Rose Read of National Waste and Recycling Industry Council, to talk on the national state of waste, the new approach from government and what it means for the future of the waste and recycling industry. Also joining us from the NSW EPA is Alex Young, Director of the NSW Container Deposit Scheme, where he’ll be talking on the program, learnings from other states and how we can work to enable harmonisation.
AWRE are excited to be able to work alongside several industry partners and organisations to be able to bring the the waste and recycling industry an interactive experience, enabling businesses to re-enter the market and continue to do business, safely.

Alongside a busy two days of keynote sessions and webinars, we’ll be featuring solution showcases throughout the two days of the event. Businesses will be showcasing their latest innovations and solutions for the waste industry to the online audience in 15 minute sessions.
Featured showcases include Isuzu Trucks, who’ll be presenting on their garbage guts FVY 240-300 Dual Control truck, DriveRisk, giving the online audience an insight into fleet & driver safety in the waste industry and showing their range of solutions, and CEMAC Technologies, who’ll be demonstrating their new TOMRA sensor based sorting machine.
We also have an exclusive line up of 15+ exhibitors for our online exhibition which will also be happening amidst the education program and solution showcases. Businesses that will be showcasing their solutions include Hitachi Construction Machinery, Terex Washing Systems and Steinert Australia, with the added option for the online audience to book appointments and jump into exhibition sessions.
