September last year saw Australia face a nationwide ‘strawberry contamination’, with over 100 cases reported from customers of sewing needles being found inside their punnets of store-bought strawberries.
Doors have closed on the final day of this year’s most important waste management expo, AWRE. Record numbers of visitors made new connections and experienced the latest in waste innovation across this two-day event at Darling Harbour’s sustainable venue ICC.
Record crowds and a buzzing show floor dominated day one of Sydney’s only waste and recycling industry event, the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE). The first two hours saw over double the number of visitors through the door than the previous event in 2016.
AWRE is leading the way in sustainable event management best practice so when it came to selecting a venue for AWRE 2018 the newly rebuilt ICC Sydney, which works to a strong sustainable event philosophy of its own, was the obvious choice.
