Sep 15, 2014

In today’s 60 seconds interview we speak to Premier Rock Machinery’s  (PRM) Director, Mike Davis about how the company is expanding its existing portfolio, offering the same level of high performance quality products to the waste & recycling industry  . With a strong reputation for supplying above quality products & technical expertise in the earthmoving & construction industries, PRM is proud of its service delivery with Australia’s top blue chip OEM’s, such as Hitachi Construction Equipment, Bechtel, Komatsu Australia, CJD Volvo, Pipeline Plant Hire, Murphy Pipe & Civil, Aurizon, QLD Rail and many more.

Q. Can you tell us about Premier Rock Machinery (PRM)
?
A. Premier Rock Machinery (PRM) has recently become the Australian dealer for REMU Screening Technologies. Established since 2002, PRM are well renowned in Queensland for the premium Montabert Rock Breaker’s & product range, and with the introduction of the REMU Screener Crusher Buckets, enable PRM to expand their expertise into the specialised waste & recycling industry.

Q. This is the first time PRM has exhibited with AWRE. What are you looking to show our visitors this year?
PRM will be showcasing the first REMU Screener-Crusher bucket in Australia.
The quality REMU products are extremely popular in Europe for all uses in recycling. Finland is leading the world in the environmental sustainability index which is where these products are manufactured & tested.

Q. What do you think are the greatest challenges in the waste industry today?
The key challenges facing the industry is pressure on existing landfills and the high cost of waste disposal. The REMU bucket is uniquely innovative in that it can relieve some of the burden on the landfills, as the contractor can utilise the bucket to process waste on site, which can then be used for road base – top soil compost, effectively reducing costs as well as carbon footprint.
Theses buckets are also ideal for wet materials, such as coal, mulch, and a variety of recycling applications and also importantly the processing of acid soils, which is a huge environmental concern for Australian waste businesses.

Q. What is innovative about our product?
The bucket is extremely versatile and can be used in a number of different applications (by changing & using different rotors & blades for the variety of waste products), and on almost any type of excavator, backhoe, wheel loader, skid steer or tractor.

The REMU bucket is specifically designed with patented rotor blades to classify and separate materials and can be used not only for light crushing but also for grinding.

Other Product range:
Other PRM products from REMU include: the REMU Combi E8 Screening Plant, a non-clogging screening plant for preparing top soil and processing various waste materials;
And The Big Float, an amphibious excavator which is designed to work in the most challenging terrains, such as marsh land, shoreline, industrial waste ponds and open water.

Premier Rock Machinery will be exhibiting on stand F27.
