Craig Barker is one of Australia’s leading experts in recovery, recycling and diverting waste from landfill, working for Suez/Veolia over 15 years. He currently manages Veolia’s major resource recovery projects across Australia, driving new resource recovery initiatives in municipal and commercial waste.
His experience gives him a clear sense of where the resource recovery sector is positioned and how it will change to meet the needs of a future circular economy. He expects energy recovery facilities to play an increasingly important role diverting waste from landfill, a rise in the processing of organic waste and more recycling activities to be carried out in Australia.
