Dave Boyack has been involved in fire detection for over 15 years, which includes developing solutions for risks not always covered by local codes and standards. In addition, Dave is a member of Australia’s TAC/1 and TAC/2 technical advisory committees as well as a committee member of FP-002, which is responsible for writing fire detection codes in Australia.

Dave’s specialty is in aspirating smoke detection (ASD) technology and he currently operates as the BDM for the APAC region. Dave focuses on introducing new technologies designed to enhance or address applications where traditional fire detection systems may not be suitable – including lithium battery fire detection and the prevention of thermal runaway.
