Speaker Profile

Karie is the director of Circular Design Thinking, an environmental consultancy dedicated to the Interiors industry. CDT advises and implements change from linear production models through to Circular. CDT’s services support change in product development, carbon accounting, supply chain management and sustainable strategic planning.
Karie has worked in furnishings and design for over twenty years, working as a fashion buyer for David Jones and as head product developer for Armadillo Rugs, Charles Parsons and Milliken-Ontera. Karie also owned a textile and wallpaper design studio.
Her qualifications are in Business, Visual Arts and Object Design, Fashion Design, Sustainable Living and Environmental Law and Compliance. CDT’s clients include brand owners such as Kvadrat Maharam, Space Furniture, Cult Design and the Green Building Council of Australia.
