In addition, the new ACCO range has also been specifically developed to target specialist vocational applications – namely refuse work – and will boast locally-engineered dual control variants. Available in both 6×4 and 8×4 configurations, the new ACCO range will feature IVECO’s famed 8.7L, Euro6 (Step E) Cursor 9 engine – with the tried and proven Allison 3200 6-speed full automatic, a favourite for demanding stop and start applications, to be the standard transmission across all models. Buyers will also be able to select from three output ratings spanning from 310hp and 1,300Nm to 360hp and 1,650Nm.

Safety takes centre stage in the new IVECO ACCO, with measures developed specifically to not only safeguard drivers and the community, but also make waste collection and transportation safer than ever before. With this in mind, the range has been equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features, including emergency braking, collision avoidance systems, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, and electronic stability program. For added visibility on the road, the all-new ACCO will also feature full LED lighting.

Available exclusively with a day cab, the refined interior of the ACCO provides more usable space and driver storage solutions, including additional areas allocated for PPE and stowage of personal belongings.

New systems for improved integration between the cab chassis and bodies will also be featured, in addition to other waste industry-specific adjustments including redesigned steps that provide extra ground clearance, an engine hour meter, and a three-blade windscreen wiper system.
