Celebrating 10 years of AWRE

Oct 22, 2019 Event News

It’s now only one week until AWRE opens its doors for the tenth time at ICC Sydney, to showcase a range of full circle innovative products and sustainable solutions to collect, process and recycle waste more smartly.

As the doors open for the tenth time, Wastech Engineering will once again be right there with us, exhibiting for the ninth time at AWRE 2019.

Wastech Engineering pride themselves on having extensive industry knowledge coupled with state of the art equipment to find solutions to onsite waste management.

We caught up with the Wastech Engineering team as they prepared for their ninth AWRE.

Q. Why do you see the importance of exhibiting at AWRE?

A. We find as a company it is important to sit down with our customers and suppliers in the room. AWRE gives us this opportunity to connect face to face on a large scale.

Q. What value do you see in exhibiting at AWRE?

A. We get the opportunity to connect with Company Owners, Operational Staff and Decision makers that we normally wouldn’t have access to. We find that AWRE being such a well-respected event in the waste community draws through the door.

Q. Why is it important for the industry to come together in this way?

A. It gets people talking on a larger scale about the current and ongoing issues within the industry. There may be solutions out there already and coming together and talking in this way allows us to share our break through to find these solutions.

Q. As one of our longest running exhibitors, why do you see the value in coming back each year to AWRE?

A. At our very first AWRE show we met with the CP Group who were also exhibiting at the time. We formed a relationship and have now been their agent in Australia for the last 6 years.

Q. How has AWRE changed over the years?

A. It has grown in numbers with new contacts continually coming through, and exhibitors show casing new equipment.

Q. What changes have you seen in the industry since you started exhibiting at AWRE?

A. In recent times with SKM in Melbourne going under; it has shown how we cannot just rely on one major player in the market. We need to open new markets within Australia, to process and create demand for producing our own goods.

Q. How has your product, brand or service evolved/changed since you started exhibiting at AWRE?

A. Wastech has grown in both company size, and equipment now offered to market. With our partnership with the CP Group we offer a full turn key package for sorting equipment from Comingle Recycling, C&I/C&D, MSW, WtE & E-Waste.
